The Riverside Project Archaeology Exhibit

Over the course of the 19th century, the bucolic Riverside setting where 21 West End now resides, was transformed from an isolated farm to an industrial neighborhood. The exhibit explains this tranformation and showcases the layers of history that have only recently been uncovered.

A Stairway Through Time

From 2012-2013 the Geoarcheology Research Associates undertook staged achaeological investigations within the footprint of the 21 West End building. While excavating the area, archaeologists uncovered a series of layers, cultural features, and natural landforms which are now on exhibit for the public to view.
